Danish sound designer and film sound recordist Malthe Bjørn Jensen likes DPA’s d:screet™ 4061 Miniature Microphones so much that he wants to eat one! While recognising that it’s probably best not to try this for real, Jensen says: “I’ve always been really impressed by the big sound you get from these very small microphones. Their small size makes them very handy - I often use them on film sets to record sounds in places where a bigger microphone wouldn’t fit.”

Australia's favourite little pig goes a long way

Just over two decades ago, Julius Chan Sales Engineer Specialist Audio Products at Amber Technology was involved in a small Australian film as sound supervisor. This movie was “Babe” released in 1995 which went on to take over $250 million at the box office worldwide. It also collected a few boxes of award trophies, with 19 wins and 23 nominations, including the Academy Award for Best Effects, Visual Effects and a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical. For sound, it won Best Sound Editing - Animated Feature – ADR at the Motion Picture Sound Editors Golden Reel Awards.

Celebrating the 100 Year Anniversary of Danish Loudspeakers

In 1915, Peter Laurits Jenson an inventor, changed the world of sound.  He was the inventor behind electronically amplified sound, through his discovery, the loudspeaker.  2015 marks the 100th Anniversary of the invention of the Danish Loudspeaker.
