DPA Headset Categories.... Choosing the right microphone headset

With the release of the 4466 and 4488 there are now 3 distinct categories that DPA offer for Headworn Microphone applications.

ACT

These are based on the fixed frame that is supplied with the 4066 and 4088.

Key features are:

  • Stays put during highest-energy performances.
  • Comfortable during use.
  • Customizable for a specific user.
  • Easy for the user to mount and adjust.

FLEX

These are based on the adjustable frame and feature a replaceable cable.

Typical Model codes are 4266 or 4288.

Key features are:

  • Secure during normal and relaxed activities.
  • Flexible and extremely comfortable.
  • Easy to adjust when switching between users.
  • Customizable for almost any wearing needs.

REFINE

This is a combination of the Refine frame, as developed for the 6060 Sub Miniature Microphone, and the 5mm capsule which is used throughout the range.

Typical Model codes are 4466 or 4488.

Key features are:

  • Secure and flexible.
  • Comfortable for long-term use.
  • One-size-fits all form adjusts to all types of users.
  • Fits snuggly on the head and stays in place
  • Very secure during active performances.
  • Non-reflective PVD surface on headset frame, boom, capsule
