The Amber Technology portfolio includes Emmy®, Grammy® and Academy Award® winning brands and products. Here's six of the highlights from the brands we represent in Australia:
1. ELECTRO-VOICE Back in 1963, Electro-Voice won an Academy Award® for the development of the Model 642 Cardiline ultra-directional shotgun microphone. It was the first time since 1941 an award for technical achievement was given for microphone design, and reflects the innovative quality of the microphone for the times. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is extremely careful in bestowing such awards because of the potential commercial impact, and only does so when the product has proven its value to the motion-imaging industry.
2. AVID: The use of Avid's technology spans many different media across the world, from prestigious, award-winning live productions to music and movies. Made up of a rectangular array of microscopic hinged mirrors, the DMD allows light to be modulated more accurately than is possible when using alternate technology. In 2014 Dr Hornbeck was awarded an Academy Award® of Merit for the invention of digital micromirror technology as used in DLP Cinema projection.
6. OPTOMA: The 2014 Academy Award® winning TI DLP® DMD display technology is also incorporated in Optoma projectors.
