This release introduces important new features for ISR and Broadcast applications including:
· Lower Latency Slice-based Encoding now enables dividing up a video frame into up to 11 slices for parallel encoding resulting in up to 25% latency savings.
· HEVC over RTSP for high picture quality streaming to video management software (VMS) platforms including Milestone Systems.
· High dynamic range (HDR) video encoding with low latency in HLG or PQ (SMPTE 2084). This is a licensable feature that must be purchased.
· Wide Color Gamut (WCG) with 10-bit pixel depths and the BT.2020 (Rec. 2020) color space for higher contribution video quality to live production workflows.
· Path Redundancy is now supported for hitless failover of mission critical SRT streams over redundant datalinks or network paths.
· Increased Timing Precision when contributing multiple streams to cloud-based live production workflows that support SMPTE-12M timecode.
· SRT Access Control to apply unique Stream IDs per SRT stream to facilitate automation and send multiple streams to a single UDP port as an alternative to RTMP for cloud services and CDNs that support SRT.
· Haivision EMS Agent Update now enables control of individual Makito X1 Rugged streams using Haivision EMS. If you are interested in knowing more about Haivision EMS, please reply to this email.
