Amber Updates

As the way we do business continues to evolve with the Covid-19 pandemic, Amber Technology is temporarily changing the ways that we communicate with you via our enews.

Since the announcement on November 6 of our agreement to purchase the AV division of Hills, (you can read the media release <here>) a specialised project team has been set up at both Hills and Amber to work together on the completion of the many tasks required for the transition process.

Some of the tasks our joint project team are currently working on include:

Transition of HAV staff to Amber Technology – HR departments from both companies are working together to transition employment agreements and entitlements from Hills to Amber

Account changeover – if you are customer of both Amber Technology and Hills, our credit team will be reviewing and adjusting your account accordingly. If you are not currently a HAV customer, you will have access to our expanded portfolio as soon as the sale is complete. In both instances you will have a greater number of brands and SKUs for projects you are currently working on or planning for 2020

Account management – there may be some adjustments to our sales territories as we increase our salesforce with HAV staff. If your account is affected by these changes, you will receive a separate communication from us when the information is available

Brands - Joining our portfolio are a number of well-regarded AV brands including Australian Monitor, Williams Sounds and Grandview projector screens. The final list of brands in the Amber portfolio is expected to be available in January 2020
Data transition – our IT departments are working together to transfer all relevant data into our systems, including product codes and customer account details

Website – we are planning for the addition of HAV SKUs to our website to be active as soon as the agreement is finalised. Other sections of our website will be updated with relevant information over the coming months to keep our customers updated on the latest developments.

Ordering - fast-moving lines from the HAV portfolio will be available for ordering from our warehouse by mid-December. We are working towards minimal disruption in the ordering process during this transition phase, and thank you in advance for your patience

Dealer portal - if you do not have a profile set up on our website, now is a perfect time to create one to gain access to all the latest product information and pricing. You can set up an online account by emailing webmaster@ambertech.com.au
