DPA Microphones Mars Mission takes off

Today is an exciting day in the history of DPA Microphones, as NASA launches the Perserverance Rover to Mars at 7.50am EDT (9.50pm AEST).The seven month journey is expected to touchdown on February 18, 2021. When it lands, DPA Microphones will be used to record and broadcast the sounds of Mars.

National Hot Rod Association Brings Earth-Shaking Sounds of World’s Fastest Motorsport with DPA

The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) has a vast fan base. Their televised races draw eyes and ears from around the world but they’re not alone when it comes to the challenge of mimicking the highly ear-splitting, earth-shaking racetrack experience on-screen for their viewers. Although the Association broadcasts races in Dolby Atmos, the bottlenecked technology didn’t have the accompanying microphone that could reproduce the low-frequency component of the sound of 11,000 horsepower cars launching from the starting line.
