Legendary singer-songwriter Leo Sayer to use DPA on upcoming tour

To say iconic singer-songwriter Leo Sayer has produced some great songs would be a gross understatement. Rising to fame in 1973 with the release of “The show must go on”, he’s steadily maintained popularity over the decades, topping the charts in 1976 with hit record “You make me feel like dancing”. It’s 2019 and Sayer is still performing and writing music. In fact, during his recent European tour, he used DPA’s d:facto Vocal Microphone for the first time. He was so impressed with the mic’s sound he asked his long term sound engineer Damien Young to get his hands on some wireless d:facto units for his upcoming Australian and New Zealand tour.

National Hot Rod Association Brings Earth-Shaking Sounds of World’s Fastest Motorsport with DPA

The National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) has a vast fan base. Their televised races draw eyes and ears from around the world but they’re not alone when it comes to the challenge of mimicking the highly ear-splitting, earth-shaking racetrack experience on-screen for their viewers. Although the Association broadcasts races in Dolby Atmos, the bottlenecked technology didn’t have the accompanying microphone that could reproduce the low-frequency component of the sound of 11,000 horsepower cars launching from the starting line.
