The B170S has arrived in our warehouse and is available to be shipped. The B170S amplifier is based on the B160S, with improved energy efficient features including higher power low-impedance and constant voltage options. Award-winning amplification technology, a BluOS operating system, and a compact form factor makes the B170 ideal for supporting multiple speaker installations and daisy-chained speaker setups.
The Bluesound Professional B170S is a versatile networked streaming amplifier designed to provide high performance audio to any commercial installation. For applications where intelligibility and ultimate audio quality are important, the low impedance option via 4 or 8 ohm speaker outputs are particularly fitting. For applications like corridors where multiple speaker installations and high-traffic areas need coverage, the constant voltage option at 70/100V is highly effective for daisy-chained speakers, reducing cable lengths and complexity.
Ability to stream via ethernet and a USB input option allows the B170S to have increased playback reliability, replay from local connected drives and network attached drives. An award-winning BluOS operating system allows for flexible, unlimited grouping of zones coupled with our natively integrated business music streaming partners SoundMachine and Qsic. Choose commercially licensed music from hundreds of professionally curated playlists to create a strategic atmosphere.
Control of the B170S networked streaming amplifier can be accomplished by any Windows/Mac computer as well as any iOS/Android phone or tablet. Third party control is also possible with RTI and other leading systems. Security provisions prevent any unauthorised control of the system.

The B170S can be mounted vertically or horizontally, allowing it to hide under shelves, tables or on walls. Keyhole slots allow for stealthy mounting options closer to where speakers will be installed. Up to 6 B170S units can be rack mounted into a 3U space with the racking accessory, helping to free up space for things like POS systems, wine fridges and other important appliances. Thermostatic fan cooling and a low power standby mode consuming only 6W adds increased reliability to the unit.
